Guidance Line

Guidance Line places a visible groove in the mid and outsole that follows the foot's center of pressure from heel to toe. The result is a more adaptive running platform, creating a smoother transition from heel strike to toe-off with each stride. Automatic Guidance Line thus helps runners to maintain a natural, efficient gait, especially over long distances.

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning refers to the inclusion of specially formulated Solyte material in the forefoot of the female shoe. Since this material is less dense than the traditional material it offers greater impact absorption and more bounce for female runners.

Biomorphic Fit

Biomorphic Fit technology allows the upper of the shoe to move in harmony with the foot, giving more comfort while in motion. This fit means the shoe material does not bunch, reducing the risk of blisters or irritation.

I.G.S.

The Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) is an ASICS design philosophy. It aims to make shoe components from rear to midfoot and forefoot to work together effectively to allow the body to perform in a natural manner. ASICS designers strive to compliment, not correct, how the legs and feet move.

ASICS GEL is a silicone-based cushioning system designed to meet the needs of both professional and recreational athletes. Rearfoot GEL provides cushioning in all directions, absorbs impact forces and helps to stabilise the foot during heel contact.

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning refers to the inclusion of specially formulated Solyte material in the forefoot. The material's density is reduced, allowing the female foot to compress it sufficiently and benefit fully from the bounce-back qualities of Solyte. Traditionally, women's running shoes contained cushioning material of the same density as men's. However, as women are usually lighter than men, the female foot would not fully compress the material, resulting in a less than optimal ride. Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning addresses this issue and provides women with a more comfortable and responsive ride. The cushioning material, located under the ball of the foot and extending across the width of the shoe, also acts as an efficient shock absorber.
